Affiliate Disclosure

How we make money while maintaining 100% editorial independence

Full Transparency Promise:
Coves7 earns commissions when you purchase products through our links. This NEVER influences our rankings, ratings, or recommendations. We buy products ourselves, test them independently, and tell you the truth—even when it costs us money.

FTC Compliance Statement

In accordance with FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 255), Coves7.com discloses that we participate in affiliate marketing programs. This means we may earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through links on this website.

How Affiliate Links Work

When you click a product link on Coves7 and make a purchase, the vendor may pay us a commission at no additional cost to you. For example:

  • You click our link to ChatGPT
  • You sign up for ChatGPT Plus ($20/month)
  • OpenAI pays us a referral commission (typically $5-20)
  • You pay the same $20 whether you use our link or not

Important: Not all links are affiliate links. We link to many products and resources with no financial relationship.

Our Affiliate Partnerships

We work with the following types of affiliate programs:

  • Software vendors: ChatGPT, Notion, Monday.com, ClickUp, and other SaaS platforms
  • Trading platforms: 3Commas, Cryptohopper, crypto exchanges, and broker referral programs
  • Affiliate networks: Amazon Associates, Impact, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, and others
  • Display advertising: Google AdSense and other contextual ad networks

What Doesn't Influence Our Reviews

Here's what we promise will NEVER affect our ratings, rankings, or recommendations:

  • ❌ How much commission a product pays
  • ❌ Whether a company has an affiliate program at all
  • ❌ Vendor pressure or requests for favorable coverage
  • ❌ Free products, trials, or early access
  • ❌ Sponsored content opportunities

Real Example: We Cost Ourselves Money

In our AI Tools review, we ranked ChatGPT #1, even though Claude and Gemini offered higher affiliate commissions. We've given low ratings to products with generous affiliate programs when they didn't perform well. Our integrity is worth more than short-term commissions.

How We Maintain Independence

  1. We buy our own subscriptions: We don't rely on free trials or vendor access that might create obligation.
  2. Testing comes before monetization: We decide what to review based on what's useful to readers, not what pays well.
  3. Ratings are data-driven: Our scores are based on quantitative metrics, not subjective feelings that could be swayed by financial incentives.
  4. We update regularly: When a product gets worse (or better), we update the review—even if it hurts our commissions.
  5. Editorial separation: Our review team doesn't see affiliate performance data when writing reviews.

Products We Don't Recommend

You'll notice we explicitly recommend AGAINST certain products in our reviews. We do this even when those products have affiliate programs. If a tool is overpriced, unreliable, or simply beaten by competitors, we'll tell you—regardless of potential commissions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this disclosure as our business model evolves. Any material changes will be noted with a "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page.
